OUR PASTOR

Rev. David Bennett has been a pastor on the Delmarva Peninsula for over 30 years. Serving faithfully in the United Methodist Church since his ordination in 1992,  Pastor Dave was received as a pastor in the Global Methodist Church as of November 1, 2023.

Prior to his move to Sharptown, Pastor Dave served Kent Island United Methodist Church for 17 years, so it was quite a surprise to him and his wife Lori when they felt God calling them to return to David's hometown to serve that community. 

On July 1, 2017, Pastor Dave began serving Mount Vernon, his home church. A year later, in another surprise God-move, he was appointed to serve Asbury as well, also in Sharptown.

Pastor Dave and Lori are Mardela High School sweethearts who have been married for 38 years. They are thankful for their 2 adult children and spouses and two grandsons!
